The Computers in Homes Programme
The programme works via low decile schools, to help families in
greatest need to use the internet, email and basic computer skills in
their everyday lives, to enhance their performance at school and at
work.
Computers In Homes provides digital literacy for communities and promotes
intergenerational learning between children and grandparents. It helps improve relationships between the home and
school, and can also help demystify technology for parents. For a cost of $50, families receive free training, a recycled computer, 6
month's Internet connection with filtering, where available, and
technical support. For more information see the Computers In Homes website at http://www.computersinhomes.org.nz/ |
